Prof. Ofer Harel has been invited and accepted to be a standing member of The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Committee on Applied and Theoretical Statistics (CATS). CATS convenes workshops, consensus studies, and other activities to connect frontiers in statistics research, education, training, and practice to issues of national and global importance.

Sana Gupta receives UConn IDEA Grant
Undergraduate statistics student Sana Gupta has been awarded the UConn IDEA Grant for the 2023-2024 academic year in recognition of her research project. The grant supports original, creative, innovative, student-designed projects. Sana’s research, titled A Novel Imputation Strategy for Incomplete Compositional Data Analysis, is jointly mentored by Benjamin Stockton and Ofer Harel. Congratulations Sana!
