Sujit Ghosh received the D.D. Mason Award for 2022-2023 from the Department of Statistics at NC State University. This award is made in recognition of Professor Ghosh’s outstanding contributions to the Department, University, and Statistics Profession. Dr Ghosh has been devotedly serving as the Department’s Interim Head since Summer of 2022, an unselfish service that is enough to justify the award by itself. He has brought distinction to the department through his collaborations with other disciplines at NC State, such as agriculture and economics, and through his work at the National Science Foundation, SAMSI and SAS Institute. Dr. Ghosh has advised a large number of PhD students, has a well-cited research portfolio, and has an excellent teaching track record. This is truly an amazing record and he is very deserving of this award.
