Abstract: This Friday (January 30 11AM) we are pleased to have Luke Miratrix, Professor of Education and affiliate faculty of the Department of Statistics from Harvard University to deliver our first interdisciplinary seminar in person.  He primarily works on how to best use modern statistical methods in applied social science contexts. His talk is titled: “The many choices for estimating Treatment Effects in Blocked, Cluster-Randomized Trials”.  Dr. Miratrix primarily works on how to best use modern statistical methods in applied social science contexts. His education research on policy and intervention effects is highly informed by advanced statistical and data mining techniques.
